Between 5th and 7th Jan 2012 we will be showing off the potential of FUNcube as a teaching tool at the Association of Science Education Conference (see http://ase.org.uk). The ASE exists to provide support and ideas for school science teachers in the UK. We will be having a small stand in the marquee (number AS28). The event takes place at the University of Liverpool. Admission to the exhibition is free, but to avoid any queuing, you may wish to preregister on the ASE website.
Kempton Park Rally – held on 8 Nov 2010. An AMSAT-UK stand was manned principly by Jim, G3WGM and Howard, G6LVB. Many thanks to Richard, G3RWL, and David, G0MRF who also helped, and also to the many regular visitors who called by to say hello. Jim answered many questions about FUNcube generally, and Howard was busy explaining to many visitors to the stand the intricacies of the FC Dongle. Many visitors were extremely impressed with the dongle, and couldn’t wait to order one. Howard attempted to construct one during the rally, but only managed 4 capacitors during the first few hours, such was the interruption from the many visitors. Jim had the CUBsat Simulator on hand to show how tlm might be received and interpreted. Visit the FUNcube dongle website
